The Most Influential Person Essay Research Paper

One of the most influential people in my life was my grandmother. After graduating from high school she attended Loyola University and graduated with a nurses certificate. She then married, had 11 children and at the age of 42 became a widow, with many obstacles to overcome. Through her influence, I now confront life’s obstacles with strength, determinationa dn hope. Without her nursing certificate it would have been very difficult for her to support her family. Her courage, strength and hard work left her admired and respected by her family and community. One of the many things she taught me was how important a good education is and she encouraged me to follow my dreams, work hard and pursue the career of my choice. Her accomplishments have been a great inspiration for me. She has been a guiding force in my life, showing me that one can accomplish anything with enough time and effort.

Since I am not certain what field I will pursue, although, I believe college will provide a wide array of majors for me to explore. By doing an internship I could decide on a career path that will provide me an opportunity to get my degree, get involved in the community, meet new people and to learn skills that will benefit me in the future. There is a seemingly tremendous benefit in being well-rounded, and that will contribute to my ultimate goal of living a rewarding life while working at a fulfilling career.

I am proud to name my grandmother as one of the most influential figures in my life. Her example of courage, strength and hard work are priorities in my life and have given me a sense of success. I am confident trhat if I lead my life with these principals, I will not only attain my goals, but will be able to respect myself, my actions and be an asset to the community.
