The Police

Why is it that so many minorities have a problem with the police? Are all minorities simply unruly, or is it that police officers with lower intelligence levels and a false sense of power abuse their ability to mistreat people they do not like? In my opinion, I believe that police officers should have to go through more of a rigorous training and have minority sensitivity training before they are given their badges.

First it is a well-known fact that the majority of police officers are only hired when they comply with a certain intelligence level. Many people who apply to become cops are turned down because they are simply too smart. Is it just that so many officers are socially ignorant?

When these individuals receive their badges and are now police officers, there is a sense of power that takes them over. Is it a pairing of low intelligence and almost complete power? I don t think so. When this occurs police officers tend to start treating people like animals, and this is where racial bias comes in.

Many white officers tend to be racially biased when it comes to upholding the law. An example of this is when a friend of mine was pulled over and only given a warning because he was white, whereas another friend was given three tickets in the same area by the same cop. The only difference was that the kid who received the three tickets was black.

Is this fair? No. And the only way we can do away with this problem is to have a more racially diverse police squad with higher intelligence levels and less power.
