Dracula Essay, Research Paper
The creation of this monster was actually based upon a Romanian myth,(derived from the word draclu-devil) which implied the existence of vampires or the undead, as Stoker says. But, let?s look at this novel in a different way. Who was Dracula?
As a historical person, Dracula II Tepesh was either a part of the Ottoman Empire and existed as their advisory for Romania. On the other hand, people say that Dracula was their helper, who destroyed the Turks by torturing them, we can find this in Dracula?s castle. How was the myth created?
Logically, we should look at every aspect of Dracula?s monster characteristics. Firstly, he must have had long fangs, white skin, long white hair etc. For my part, these are regular human characteristics, or the face of an old man. Considering the long teeth (fangs), they could not be corrected by bracelets due to a very simple reason they did not exist.
As a novel, or horror novel, to be more precise, it is a must-have-it book in your home library. They beautiful descriptions of Hungary, Romania and England, the old castles etc, give the full picture and full feeling as being there, smelling the mould, hearing the people with their various languages, and feeling Dracula?s teeth on your neck. Even now, when a human who knows that vampires do not exist reads this book his/hers skin starts to tremble in the horror scenes, their hearts starts to thump, their blood pressure rises and then one can really feel Dracula, and his secret.
When you finish reading ?Dracula? you actually find out that he was a lonely man, who was in need of love, but unfortunately it was ?substituted by blood?..
So, whenever you find Dracula, you must take it because you will miss a great deal of feelings that you have never had.
?Thou blood shall feed him, but shall it be enough??
