Matt Groening changed television forever when, in 1987, he brought the Simpsons to the FOX. People all across the country enjoyed these hilarious animated series, and, that same year, it was given the FOX’s EMMY AWARD. The Simpsons reaveals many interesting aspects of modern American culture, one of them is the stereotype of lower middle class white american male.
In Simpsons, Matt Groening shows the stereotype of lower middle class white male in America. He reminds me of people, whom I have met in my own life.
He cheats, lies, plays with people’s emotions, uses others to reach his personal goals.The example of that would be the way Homer Simpson is constantly using his next door neighbour, Ned Flanders. When Ned bought his TV stand, Homer borrowed it from Ned, telling him it will only be temporarily, when in reality, he never gave it back to poor Ned. Another great example would be that of Homer using Homer uses medical insurance to buy a new hair tonic, and it works, consequentially he gains confidence, gets a promotion and begins to succeed at work.
“Dead Putting Society”
Homer gets Bart entered in a miniature golf tournament in an effort for Homer to out do his neighbor, who has a perfect life, wife and kid
“Bart Gets Hit By a Car”
Mr. Burns hits Bart with his car and a shyster lawyer gets Homer to sue for a million dollars.
“Homer vs. Lisa and the 8th Commandment”
After learning the Ten Commandments, Lisa can’t deal with the fact that people in the real world, steal as a part of everyday life. Homer is no exception when he gets an illegal cable hookup.
“Blood Feud”
Homer wants to use Bart’s rare blood type to save Mr. Burns life; naturally Homer also expects to reap great rewards for doing it.
“Mr. Lisa Goes to Washington”

The family wins an all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. for Lisa’s essay which is entered in the finals of a national contest. Lisa’s essay and faith in government is changed when she witnesses her Senator taking a bribe.
Lisa’s Pony”
After disappointing Lisa, Homer’s feelings of guilt prompt him to fulfill Lisa’s dream of owning a pony.
“Saturdays of Thunder”

To be a better father, Homer tries to spend some quality time with Bart, when they build a soap box racer together.
“Flaming Moe’s”
Moe’s tavern becomes a hot nightclub, featuring an appearance by Aerosmith, after Homer concocts a new drink sensation, which Moe claims as his own creation.
“Lisa the Greek”
Homer cashes in on Lisa’s uncanny ability to pick football game winners
Dog of Death”
Lotto fever sweeps the Simpson house to the point where they are unaware of their dog’s illness
“Itchy and Scratchy: The Movie”
As a punishment, Homer won’t let Bart go and see the new Itchy and Scratchy movie, a promise he intends to keep.
When it is time to punish his children, Homer can get rough.
“Mr. Plow” The power of money is incredibly strong in America. Even your best firends turn on and are ready to destroy your business because of the money.
Homer purchases a snow plow and goes into business for himself to help pay for it. He becomes popular for his plowing; however sparks fly when Barney gets a plow and sets up a rival operation.
“Homer’s Triple Bypass”
Homer learns that he needs bypass, that will cost upwards of $40,000. So he decides go to the least expensive doctor, a hack that will charge $129.95 for any operation.
In this episode, the creator shows how expensive the medicine is in the United States these days, and how people are often forced to risk their lives by agreeing to have an operation by some suspicious doctors.
“Duffless”
Homer gets busted for drunk driving, and Marge gets him to stop drinking for a month. During that time he finds out that things he used to like are boring.
Even though Homer had serious drinking problems ever since high school, he is able to change and realize that he was wasting his time, health and life because of alcohol.
“The Front”
When their high school reunion arrives, Homer confesses that he didn’t graduate, so he goes to night school.
“Homer Goes to College”
Homer fails a competency test and must go back to college to keep his job.
The importance of education in our world today is shown in the Simpsons.
“The Last Temptation of Homer”
A new female co-worker whose beer guzzling & doughnut eating abilities rival his own and his faith to Marge is tested when they attend a convention together.
After marriage the majority of men are still being tempted by beautiful women, many of them are willing to overcome the temptation.
“Homer the Vigilante”
When the police can’t save the citizens of Springfield from a cat burglar, Homer forms a vigilante group, but whose going to save the citizens from them?
Ever since the beginning of time, men fought for power, in our days, this thirst for power is still there, but excess power can be mind-blowing rush and it has to be used carefully.
“Secrets of a Successful Marriage”
Homer begins teaching a course on marriage, but finds the only way to keep his students interested is to let out secrets about his relationship with Marge, which doesn’t please her.
As long as men existed, they were morons! It’s not that they are stupid, it’s just that they value some things more then they should; in this case Homer doesn’t want to loose his class, so he puts his own marriage at risk by telling the whole class about his wife’s personal sexual experiences.
“King-Size Homer”
Homer binges so that he can weigh three hundred pounds and work at home. After he attains his goal he leaves responsibility for his computer in the beak of a bird, the reactor just about goes critical.
Just like every other man in this coutry, Homer hates work. He is able to sacrifice his own health by purposely gaining weight to 300 pounds, so that he could work from home, which later turns into a diseaster.
“You Only Move Twice”
Homer is offered a new job working for the Globex Corporation, which means that the family must move to Cypress Creek, a planned community. Homer hopes it will help him to realize his lifelong dream, owning the Dallas Cowboys. However, the company’s owner is much more than he appears to be.
Typical american, Homer is ready to leave everything behind, including his friends, co-workers, and his town, in order to get a better-paying job.
“Homer’s Enemy”
A new hard working employee begins working at the plant and becomes Homer’s enemy. Homer tries to make their working relationship better, but they only get worse.
