Goldman Sachs is the last big Wall Street investment bank to go public. In this story they are explaining how is the timing of its IPO (Initial Public Offering) going to be affected by the market at this moment. The market at this moment is very volatile. Some people think that the market is too high and that a correction is in our way very soon. What does this means? The answer is that because of the speculation of the people about how high the market is it could mean that we are at the top, in other words, people will think twice to invest in a company like Goldmaan Sachs or any Internet Stock. The reason why is because the Internet stocks will be the first one to plunges if the market goes in a correction trend. They can not hold themselves at such high levels like they are now. On the other hand, people have been saying this about the market since last year, and what has happened? The market keeps breaking more records. It is unbelievable where it is now (10,879) Goldman Sachs aborted its first attempt at going public in September 28, a week after announcing that its fiscal third quarter profit dropped sharpley because of worldwide turmoil in financial markets. Having this in mind knowing that at this time the market is at a very volatile trend they can’t afford to pull its offering a second time. In my opinion, I think the stock market still have more room to keep going up and getting in the new records at least until summer. I am pretty sure that the people that got the chance to buy this company’s IPO will do really well.
