It is divided into European and Asian parts by the Urals. It covers area of over 6, 5 million square miles and has boundaries with the countries in the North, South, West and East. Russia is washed by four oceans. My country has ten time zones. Russia is very international. Over 100 nationalities live in its territory, each of them with their own language, culture, and traditions. In 1991Russia became an independent state. Now it is the member of the Commonwealth of Independent States .The capital of Russia is Moscow, its political, administrative, cultural and scientific center. Russia is rich in raw materials and energy resources making the country enable to develop deferent industries. As for the nature of the country, I can say that it has many mountains, hills, lowlands, seas and rivers. We can see vast areas of forests in Siberia and the European North and lots of other beautiful landscapes all over Russia. Russia is a country of deep and long rivers, beautiful lakes and national parks. Some of the rivers serve as hydro power; others are full of rare and nutrient fish. Lake Baikal is the biggest freshwater lake in the world. Our National parks are places where endangered species of animals and birds are carefully preserved. There are lots of beautiful places to spend your holidays, enjoy nature or try to change your place of residence for diametrically opposite. That is why Russia lures so many tourists from all over the world.
