Human Cloning 2 Essay, Research Paper
The creation of life has often been the focus of many novels from Frankenstein to Brave New World. This former unconceivable chimera has now been transformed into a reality, with the science of genetics and cloning expanding much more rapidly than any other facet of today s technology. Many animals from monkeys to gaur to rats have been successfully cloned and the next species that is anticipating its duplication is homo sapiens. Nevertheless, since humankind is the only form of life on earth capable of sentience, there are many doubts of the ethical and essential nature of human cloning. In the following paragraphs, I will further illustrate the many complexities and paradoxes that seem to embody the ideology of human cloning.
The basic process of cloning humans is fairly facile and not the least bit complicated. First you must remove all the chromosomes from the egg that is going to be used in the cloning process. Then you must place the adult cell which is to be cloned next to the egg and initiate an electrical stimulus that will fuse these two cells together. The last step is to implant this embryo into a female animal, where it will then be born normally.
Human cloning is not without any number of risks. Spontaneous mutation and uncontrolled aging are but some of the few risks that enshroud cloning.
