It all begins for us at birth. We are thrust into a world of constant activity from childhood all the way up to adulthood. Life is busy and we tend not to think about the fact of our inevitable death. It doesn?t seem to make any sense that we will no longer exist as we know it. The fact is we will all die and there is no way to avoid it.
According to a Gallup poll, 8 to 12 million people in the United States have had a near-death experience. This is a population about the size of New York City. The near-death experience goes beyond clinical and brain death. The near-death experience should instead be called the “after-death” experience. Like the seventy billion who have already passed this way through life, we join their ranks at the rate of 130,000 a day. In that same day, 400,000 new lives will be born. The cycle of life and death continues at an increasing pace.
