Saving the Children
Save the Children is an organization that was created to help less fortunate children that have little money for food and clothing. It is a nonprofit association that is working in more than 35 nations to improve the living qualities of the children and their families.
On January 7, 1932 in New York City, Save the Children was created to respond to the needs of the children of coal miners in Appalachia. They also helped children that were removed from their houses during World War II. Save the Children provided them with clothes, milk, food, and helped rebuild communities in 8 European countries. When a blizzard hit the Navajo Reservation in Arizona in 1948, Save the Children was there to help the Natives make it through all their losses.
