Explore one theme as found in three different authors or time periods such as

freedom, love, heroism, or loss. An author’s opinion of a subject changes from on author to

another. Showing that many different authors feel the same way about the same subject

show unity in a community and society. Times change, but to see authors feel the same way

shows that authors don’t change that much from one to another.

Many authors in the 20th century think alike, and many authors in the 18th century

think alike. Do the authors from these time periods all think the same? Living now is

different than it was then. People don’t really have extremely radical ideas, except between

great periods of time. The farther from the present times the harder it is to make a connection

between the authors. Freedom is a hard topic for American authors to write about because

Caucasian Americans have always been free. A good subject for an African American

author would be freedom and slavery. Because most Americans have been free from slavery,

ethnic or religious biased the connections could be harder to find.

Learning the connections between the authors and exactly what the connection is the

goal for this paper. Even if it’s ethnic, religious, or freedom, the connections should become

clear. Also, trying to get authors from different time periods and ethnical backgrounds, with

the same views. Show that some authors write from personal experiences that they have had.

How do these authors relate, what time period and what kind of theme, are a couple of the

questions to be answered.
