This story is about a horse that has a couple of names like Black Beauty and Black Jack. His first owners are the people at Berwick Park, where they treat him well and Sir John is the guy that takes care of him. Joe is a young apprentice who is learning of how to take care of horses becomes a good friend of Black Beauty. There he meets friends like Merrilegs but specially Ginger whom after millions of tries, falls in love with him. But the time comes when they are separated because their owners have moved to another place because of a sickness. This is when Joe promises that he will get him back. Ginger and him go to this farm where they are treated really bad until the point where they can t stand it anymore and fight back. Ginger is then used for races in a very bad condition. Beauty after being mistreatened by Sir Reuben and he fell with Reuben and then waited for somebody to come and help them both since Reuben did not move and Beauty had his knees badly scraped. From this moment on he was discriminated because of his knees and was taken to a horse auction where he sees his old friend Joe, but Joe does not even notice him. Then a guy named Jerry who seemed friendly came and bought Beauty. With Jerry, he had a wonderful time for he was a cab driver. Jerry loved him a lot and did not treat him bad as all the other drivers treated their horses. Then he met Ginger God was she tired and skinny in a critical situation. After having Jerry and him waiting in the snow up till midnight for a client, Jerry gets really sick and has to move so he sells Black Jack (as he named him) to a grain factory where they had said that they would treat him well. But they treated him bad and he worked in the worst conditions. He was then taken to another horse auction. Where he saw Joe and when Joe was going away he heard Beauty and bought him. From that moment on Beauty lived in a paradise with his friend Joe.
