Our government has gone through many changes. Our founding fathers had different ideas of how or government should be. Alexander Hamilton wanted a strong centralized government while Thomas Jefferson wanted a Democratic form of government. Today the government is a blend of both ideas.
Today, there are many differentIn today’s society, we live with many freedoms, morals, and laws, but who do we give credit for establishing this wonderful country? Thomas Jefferson was the third President of the United States (1801-1809). As a member of the second Continental Congress, he drafted the Declaration of Independence (1776). His presidency was marked by the purchase of the Louisiana Territory from France (1803) and the Tripolitan War (1801-1805).He was a political philosopher, educator, and architect. On the other hand American politician, Alexander Hamilton was the first U.S. secretary of the treasury (1789-1795), he established the national bank and public credit system. It is apparent that we (Americans) have become both Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton’s country due to their contributions to the United States.
